Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

Cary is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Cary is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This has been my to go store for at least the past two years. Until I had the worst experience ever. Here are the issues I had in this order: 1- They gave me back my truck with the center caps of the tires missing. 2- The rotation was not done correctly. Instead of moving the front tires to the back and the back tires to the front, she moved the front right tire to the left from side and left front tire to the front right side. 3- After I drove away, I realized that the steering wheel was not straight. It was almost upside down. Then I had to go back again to get it fixed. And still was pulling to one side. After the last time I had to go back, I just asked the lady in the front desk to tell me if there was another store where I can go to get the job done correctly. She kindly offered to refund my money but I declined it. I told her that I wasnβt looking to get my money back, but to get the job done right. I asked her to call another store to see if they can finally get it fixed. All this happened in a period of over 3 hours. While they have my truck raised, they showed me that the brake pads needed to be replaced due to short life remaining, which I declined due to the high cost.

βββββ I had an outstanding experience at Mavis Tires & Brakes in Cary! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with genuine kindness and professionalism. The entire team created a friendly, stress-free atmosphere that made me feel like a valued customer rather than just another appointment. What impressed me the most was their commitment to providing the best possible price. They truly stand behind their promise to beat any priceβand I mean any price. Itβs rare to find a business that combines exceptional customer service with unbeatable value, but they absolutely deliver on both. The staff was honest, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions without any pressure. Itβs clear they care about building long-term relationships with their customers through trust, quality work, and outstanding service. If youβre looking for a shop that offers excellent workmanship, a welcoming environment, and will go the extra mile to make sure you get the best deal possible, I highly recommend Mavis Tires & Brakes in Cary. Theyβve earned my business for years to come!

Called 3 times beforehand to confirm they could replace my brake master cylinder, got a quote. Arrived and was told they donβt work/specialize in this area. They offered to arrange a tow to another shop (very nice of them)β but after 30 minutes of waiting, I was told to call my own tow truck since they had questions about my car they never asked while I sat there. Staff was cursing openly in the shop, and at one point the receptionist muttered to herself, wishing another caller would just hang up instead of answering. Felt understaffed and disorganized. 1.5 hours wasted at the shop, on top of driving there with unreliable brakes. Confirm everything in writing before coming here.

We had such a great experience at Mavis. We originally went to another tire shop in the area first (Atlantic Tire) and were quoted almost double what we ended up paying here, so we decided to get a second opinion. Iβm so glad we did!! Stacy was amazing from the start. She gave us upfront pricing, threw in discounts for almost everything we needed, and even added new front and back wiper blades for free. She was so friendly and never made us feel pressured into anything. Keith worked on our car and had everything finished by the end of the day, which was way faster than we expected! When we picked it up, Tim walked us through the bill, answered all of our questions, and made sure we understood everything. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely kind and helpful, and the whole process was so much less stressful than we expected. Itβs not often you leave an auto shop feeling like people actually cared about helping you instead of just selling you something. Weβll definitely be back the next time we need work done! Shoutout to Stacy, Tim, and Keith for the incredible service & support!

I had a nail in my tire yesterday, and today I came here for a repair. I chose this Mavis location because I had a good experience with another Mavis before. From the moment I arrived, Robin at the front desk was extremely welcoming and helpful. She explained that they could inspect my tire and repair it for free, which made me feel really appreciated as a customer. The nail in my tire was very small and difficult to find, but the team was patient and took the time to carefully locate it and repair the tire properly. Everyone here was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. I especially want to thank Khalif for taking care of my car. They handled everything perfectly and made the whole experience stress-free. I truly appreciate their help and highly recommend this location to anyone who needs tire service or repairs.
